I want to try and experiment with lumber and see how I can make something with it since I have little to no experience.  

I went to the Mother Land of Lumber and went to home depot and bought some 2 by 4s and some ply wood and see how I can play with it!

20 handmade fiber experiments

I constructed 20 handmade fiber experiments by a DIY circle loom made out of various circular things such as embroidery hoops and bucket lids.

Each one is handmade and unique, also they are detachable wall pieces and all hang from hooks or nails. I plan on in the future to make many more and continue working on this and make it more than it is.

Process

I plan on making a bunch of these fiber experiments and hang them on the wall in a cluster. I make them out of DIY looms. I made a larger loom from a bucket lid, I cut out the middle with a saw and made my loom!



I am working on weaving different types of fabrics, or fibers, ect, and weaving them into the loom to create a different type of line.

Crit 1.

    In my "studio" I played around with a bunch of different ways to approach a fiber sculpture. 

I retaught myself how to finger weave in order for me to create this "rope" like yarn and to help me make the yarn a bit thicker.
